Curriculum Data
This self-reported data was collected by teachers in September 2021. This forms part of our baseline data for longitudinal study.
Empathy Interview Data
This data came from interviews of 115 ACS staff members, students, and parents in November 2021. This data was used to identify challenges for moving forward with global advocacy and was one of the primary reasons "recognizing perspectives" was chosen as a goal area for 2022-23. The data collection method was based on the Design Thinking Cycle.
Empathy Interviews
Go to the Padlet to see more information about the interviews and "sound bites" from the different challenges that were identified.
Diversity and Equity Staff Data
This anonymous perception data came from ACS staff members in May 2022. This data was used to set baselines for our work in Intercultural Competency with Dr. Eeqbal Hassim. The survey was created based on research coming out of the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Global Advocacy Teaching Continuum Data
This anonymous self-assessment data came from ACS staff members in May 2023. This data was used to set professional learning goals for our work in Intercultural Competency with Dr. Eeqbal Hassim for school year 2023-24. The survey was created based on the Global Advocacy Teaching Continuum, which is a synthesis of three other frameworks around teaching global advocacy.
